Our apartment at eaves Washingtonian Center made my family SICK

Did you know that on average 9% of the air in your apartment actually comes from your neighbor's home? In older buildings, it can be as high as 35%

Over the past year, every member of my family has faced multiple health issues unknowingly due to toxic mold exposure in our apartment. After extensive documentation and independent investigations, we have confirmed the presence of various molds, including strains known to be toxic to humans; such as Stachybotrys, in our apartment.

Additionally, we have strong reasons to believe that the conditions predated our tenancy and might be affecting more units in our building, if not beyond. Despite efforts to address this with property management, the response has been deeply disappointing and inadequate.

Offer to eaves Neighbors: FREE Borescope Inspections

Our concerns about the health impacts and the need for proper remediation have been met with delays and a lack of adequate care for tenant health.

This situation is not just about us — it's a community concern. Mold exposure, especially to toxic strains, poses significant health risks, a fact that my family unfortunately found out far too late. Understanding the gravity of this issue and the potential risk it poses to our community, I’m offering to share the resources we've gathered in our fight for a healthy living environment.

While I’m back in Maryland to manage our non-salvageable belongings, I’d like to offer free borescope videos and pictures of interior walls to any neighbor who has concerns their unit might have similar issues. This offer is about empowering our community with information and ensuring your homes are safe and healthy. If you’re interested or have noticed any signs of water damage or mold in your unit, please feel free to reach out to me at moldtruthcampaign@gmail.com

Let’s work together to ensure our living environments are safe and that our property management takes the necessary steps to address these serious health concerns. Thank you for taking the time to read this. Your health and safety are important, and I hope we can support each other as neighbors to advocate for healthier living environments in Maryland.

Stay safe and healthy
